To make scientific document preparation and academic collaboration more efficient, fast, and secure at our university, we have completed the installation of Overleaf Community Edition on our internal servers, and it is now available for all METU personnel.
Through this new service, you can enjoy a high-level "Overleaf Pro" experience and access advanced library features completely free of charge.
The main features of our METU Overleaf system include:
• Easy Access (LDAP Integration): You can log in instantly using your existing METU username and password without the need to create a new account.
• Secure and Stable Compilation (Sandboxed Compiles): To ensure maximum server security and performance, your LaTeX compilation processes run in specially isolated environments (containers).
• Real-Time Collaboration (Track Changes & Comments): In co-authored papers, you can monitor modifications in real time (track changes) and work simultaneously by commenting directly on the document.
• Smart Autocomplete: Increase your typing speed with autocomplete support for reference keys, citations, and labels (specifically for \ref{}, \cite{}, and \label{} commands) while drafting your text.
